A little about Twyla Miner and Lorien: I've always loved dogs, and in 1969 I bought my first German shepherd show puppy, jumped into the show world, and never looked back. So I've been "in dogs" about 30 years. I've bred about 30 litters, bred and/or owned about 20 champions, 2 Select champions, 2 ROMs, trained and exhibited to 1 CDX and 5 CD titles. I found over the years that I also enjoyed judging, and in 1995 I obtained an AKC judge's license. Lorien came from JRR Tolkein's fantasy epic Lord of the Rings, where Lorien was the home of the elves, a place of beauty, magic and power. My greatest assets are my friends (many of whom are the co-owners named with the Lorien stars, past, present and future) without whom this would not have been possible, and also would not have been much fun! |
